Title: S2, H1, H2 DISC BRAKE PAD

Date: 11-27-72 N | BULLETIN SER 74 GEN-3

S2, H1, H2 DISC BRAKE PAD

PROBLEM:

The H2 750cc engine can loosen in its frame mounting, causing ride discomfort and accelerated wear. In an extreme case, the frame lugs may fracture from engine vibration, aggravated by the loose mounts.

CAUSE:

The frame lugs have 1.0-1.5mm clearance with the engine mounting bosses to allow easy removal/ installation. These lugs are meant to be pulled in as the bolts are tightened. It has been found that the lugs take a "set", relieving tension on the mounting bolts.
